Cooking/Nutrition Classes
Free cooking and nutrition classes are held each week by the Burnet County Cooperative Extension: Tuesdays at the Family Services Center in Marble Falls, 1016 Broadway St.,10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wednesdays at LACare, 507 W. Buchanan Drive, in Burnet, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Senior Abundant Life
Abundant Life meets the second Thursday of every month at the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls, 501 Twelfth St. in Marble Falls at 11 a.m. with lunch at noon and table games from 1-3 p.m. Call Walt Bailey at (830) 598-6148 for more information.

Free Art Classes
Free art classes, Genesis Lutheran Church, 15946 E. Texas 29, Buchanan Dam has a gathering of artists and crafters from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month. Classes for all mediums. Bring your own supplies. For more information, call Peggy Marlow at (325) 388-2415.

Combat Infantrymen's Association
If you have served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Desert Storm, Bosnia, Afghanistan or Iraq and were awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the group invites you to become a member. The first meeting will be at the American Legion Hall Jan. 8 in Bertram at 7 p.m.. The meeting is the second Monday of each month. You can join without coming to the meeting and by filling out an application at www.cibassoc.com. The group plans to meet the second Monday of every month if possible.

LMHS Crochet and Knit Group
The Llano Memorial Healthcare System Crochet and Knit Group meets every Tuesday at the Llano Public Library, 102 E. Haynie St., from 2-4 p.m. to instruct individuals in these crafts. In exchange, they are asked to commit to making an item for the hospice patients.Other participants are there to complete individual projects for the hospice patients. All supplies are furnished. Further information can be given by calling Peggy Reeves, LMHS hospice volunteer coordinator at (325) 247-3715 or (800) 927-9965.

Alzheimer's Support Group
The Burnet/Marble Falls Alzheimer’s Support group meets at 2 p.m. the fourth Tuesday each month at the Marble Falls Public Library, 101 Main St. For information, call Marjorie Bronk at (512) 756-2756.

HL Porcelain Art Guild
The Highland Lakes Porcelain Art Guild meets the first Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Kingsland Public Library, 124 W. Polk St. in Kingsland. For information, contact Leatha Miloy at (512) 793-2910 or Nelda Newman at (830) 693-2439.

Kingsland Bass Club
The Kingsland Bass Club will conduct a meeting every last Thursday of the month beginning at 7 p.m. in the First Baptist Church's family life center, 3435 RR 1431. In addition, tournaments are conducted the first Saturday of each month. For information, call (325) 388-0328.

Al-Anon
Al-Anon/Alateen meets 7:30 p.m. every Monday at First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive in Marble Falls. Park on the south parking lot, enter through the rear door. Other Al-Anon meetings are in Burnet at 8 p.m Thursday for Listen and Learn; 10:30 a.m. and at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 3435 RR 1431 in Kingsland; in Llano at noon Friday at Grace Episcopal Church.

Llano Fine Arts Guild
The Llano Fine Arts Guild meets the first Monday of each month at the Llano Fine Arts Gallery, 503 Bessemer in Llano. A demo is held at 10 a.m. by area artists, followed by lunch. A donation of $5 includes lunch. The business meeting follows and membership applications may be picked up at the gallery during business hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. Call (325) 247-4839 for more information.

Llano Pantry
Llano Pantry distributes on the first and third Fridays, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at 1110 Berry St. behind Senior Center-Housing Authority Building, Llano. Donations may be made to Llano National Bank account number 0261974 or call (325) 247-2466.

Kingsland Community Center
Every Monday the Country Cuzzins Square Dance Club meets for square dancing from 7 -9 p.m. in the community center's large hall, 3451 Rose Hill Drive, Kingsland. For more information call Alice Acklen at (325) 379-3242. The center also provides a variety of other activities. Call (325) 388-3321 for more information. Office hours are 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Ballroom Dance
Enjoy ballroom dancing to the music of the World War II era at the Kingsland Community Center, 3451 Rose Hill Drive, Kingsland, from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. with the Flashbacks, a real "big band" of highly trained musicians. These dances are on the first Saturday of each month. Share the Harvest
Share the Harvest, a nonprofit group, has new hours of operation - open one day a week, Thursday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Share the Harvest no longer has a phone ministry. These are Christian men and women of all faiths helping Kingsland, Tow and Buchanan Dam with food and other services Located at First Baptist Church, 3435 RR 1431, Kingsland.

H'land Lakes Senior Center
Highland Lakes Senior Center, 351 Chamberlain in Kingsland, is open Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and provides nutrition and recreation for senior citizens. Games after lunch until 4 p.m., exercise, live music, special events. Reasonably priced senior lunches by reservation. Call (325) 388-4653 for reservations or information. Center open 6 - 9 p.m. Tuesday evenings for games.

MFalls Senior Activity Center
The Marble Falls Senior Activity Center, Seventh Street at Avenue L, offers daily activities.  Potluck lunches with games are held on Monday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Planned activities are on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Thursday is game night from 5:30 - 9 p.m.  The first and third Friday are Country  Western Dance night with a live band and light food from 7 - 9 p.m.  Special programs are hosted on the second and fourth Friday after lunch at 12:30 p.m.  Seniors 55 and older are invited to join.  The Center is non-profit and self supporting.  For information, call (830) 693-5611.

Girling Hospice Grief Support and Sharing Group meets the first Thursday at Herman Brown Free Library, 100 E. Washington St., in Burnet from 2:30-4 p.m. For information contact Helen Coffman, (512) 756-8856.
Seton Highland Lakes Hospice grief support group meets the first Wednesday from 3-4 p.m. at Marble Falls Public Library, 101 Main., St., Marble Falls, with no pre-registration required. Call Sherry Beaman, (512) 756-8003.
The Grief Support Group of Llano meets at the Llano Public Library, 102 E. Haynie St., Llano, at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
